The Durham Master Gardeners (DMG) group was founded in 1987. We are a growing group of 18 members who reside in the Durham Region and are, therefore, able to provide gardening advice and information specific to our area. We develop and deliver presentations to local horticultural groups, garden clubs, libraries, local service organizations, companies, and at gardening events such as the Oshawa Valley Botanical Garden Peony Festival, fairs, home and garden shows, farmers markets and community garden events. In addition, we answer e-mail questions, communicate with our readers through our website, facilitate advice clinics, workshops, and pruning/planting demonstrations. The group hosts formal meetings the last Thursday of the month from January to June, and September to October.
